Vacancy – WYCAS Assistant Accountant

Position:  Assistant Accountant  (NJC scale - 4)

Starting from:  £18,070 + (up to 5% pension) 29 days annual leave

Fulltime: 35 hours per week

WYCAS is a successful charity providing financial management training and accountancy services across West Yorkshire.

We work from a small office in South Leeds and are looking for a new Assistant Accountant to support the development of our accounts service. The main duty of this post will be the preparation of annual accounts for a variety of third sector organisations, including charities, community interest companies and voluntary associations.

You must have some prior accounting experience or relevant qualification, good communication skills and an ability to work to deadlines with an attention to detail. Full training, support and supervision will be provided. For the right candidate, support to complete professional qualifications and progression to the role of Community Accountant may be possible.
