Voluntary and Community Sector Support in Calderdale

From the beginning of April 2018 voluntary and community sector organisations in Calderdale can access a range of support services from a single point of contact.

This is made possible through an alliance of six organisations, made up of the four providers and two commissioning bodies, working together and sharing skills to benefit voluntary and community sector groups working in Calderdale:

  • Voluntary Action Calderdale
  • Sector Support Calderdale (North Bank Forum)
  • West Yorkshire Community Accounting Service
  • Locality
  • Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group
  • Calderdale Council

Through this single point of contact, voluntary and community sector groups working in Calderdale will have access to a range of support services and advice, including:

  • Training
  • Funding and financial advice
  • Organisational development
  • Communications
  • Volunteering
  • Governance

The Alliance is focused on the needs and requirements of the groups and organisations that make up the voluntary and community sector (VCSE) in Calderdale. The support services on offer will be further developed to respond to VCSE support needs with accessibility, practicality and sustainability at its heart.

Through the offer of a range of resources and support services, available through a single point of contact, its aim is to build skills and capability, and in doing so, empower voluntary and community groups in Calderdale to take charge of their continued development.

Access to the single point of contact is:

By email: info@vsialliance.org.uk

By telephone: 01422 348777

Through our single base:  Calderdale VSI Alliance, VAC Resource Centre, Hall Street, Halifax, HX1 5AY.
