Third Sector Leaders Kirklees are delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Kirklees Social Enterprise Start Up and Impact Award – supporting and celebrating social enterprise in Kirklees!
This Summer, 14 local people and groups, with big ideas to support their local communities, took part in a series of free business development webinars as part of Kirklees Social Enterprise Start-Up Webinars & Competition.
The competition, now in its second year, is run by a partnership of local organisations that want to encourage and support more social enterprise in Kirklees. Entrants took part in a programme of intensive support and had the chance to win £4000 to help get their social enterprise off the ground!
Those who entered the competition were invited to pitch their plans to a panel of local experts. Three finalists went on to pitch again, and the winner was announced at a celebratory evening at Dewsbury Minster, together with the winner of the Kirklees Social Enterprise Social Impact Award.
